The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding the planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting functions for the Company. This includes periodic reporting of financial results, variance analysis versus plan and prior year, forecasts, the annual budget process, data consolidation and special projects.  Partner with internal business partners in all departments to provide financial guidance and analytics to support key decision making to help ensure that the Company's objectives are achieved.  Actively participate in key finance functional initiatives.

Coordinate with Corporate Planning to build, implement, and direct the Company's financial planning procedures in accordance with international (HQ/HD) and local (US) market requirements. Specific activities include the Company's Mid-Term Plan, annual Operating Plan, monthly Business Forecast, monthly Financial Reporting Package, and Executive KPI Dashboard.

  • Develop staff through a hands-on approach and demonstrate how to improve current processes, perform root cause analysis, expand their data analysis techniques, and enhance their overall financial acumen.
  • Identify margin-enhancing activities and provide financial analyses to support specific recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, research and resolve discrepancies in financial reports and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of financial operations.
  • Oversee the scope, development, and implementation of effective functional and financial solutions by gathering business requirements, translating needs, setting priorities, measuring & communicating results, and encouraging team collaboration throughout.
  • Lead profit-improvement projects from conception to completion.
  • Lead other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Financial Analysts at the Corporate Office and plants in the Finance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Motivational, inspirational and enthusiastic approach to team leading and management.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree from four-year college or university; Master's degree preferred. 5-7 years of finance data analysis with 1-2 year of heavy financial planning experience required. Strong knowledge of financial planning and forecasting, financial accounting concepts risk and controls standards and business process best practices.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Experience with leveraging exceptional diplomacy skills to gain cross-functional alignment while working with internal and external business partners.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Creative thinker able to propose new ways of doing things, while possessing the ability to effectively communicate and navigate innovation through complex environments. Adaptable and flexible in a complex, changing environment.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required. Familiarity with business intelligence & ERP reporting tools (e.g. Business Objects, Hyperion, Microstrategy, Jet, Qlik, Tableau) a plus.
