  • Overview

    Train and certify company employees and agency associates on all warehouse equipment and procedures. Maintain the appropriate records and reports required for daily shipping and inventory control. Monitor and coach employee job performance. Drive process improvement, customer service, and cost reduction. Ensure an orderly and safe workplace.  Uphold company policies and procedures to support safe, quality food supply.

    Responsibilities

    • Directly supervise distribution employees. Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
    • Ensure a safe work environment and engage employees in adhering to the company safety policy and procedures.
    • Effectively utilize systems, comply with Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), analyze key metrics, fulfill all reporting requirements, and ensure that the warehouse aligns with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
    • Lead projects and perform assigned duties related to procurement, customer service, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse management.
    • Confer with other superintendents and managers to coordinate operations and staffing across shifts and departments.

    Qualifications

     

    1. Asociate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
    2. Six (6) months related experience in warehouse environment
    3. Skills and experience in operating forklifts
    4. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access)
    5. Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift depending on the company needs.
    6. Fluent communication in English and Spanish desired.
